This is MixTmotions after her first modification.

More lead was added to her keel.

However it became evident, after sailing in the Simrad 60, that the keel was still to light.

Jim is now going to replace the whole keel, increasing the weight to 900kgs and reinforcing the keel bolts (where the keel attaches to the hull).

The work is due to be completed in time for the Coastal Classic in October 2008
This is my father Jim.

He is extremely passionate about yacht racing.

His enthusiasm has rubbed off on me.

He had his 86th birthday the other day.

He owns both ZGY and MixTmotions.

After extensively modifying ZGY and getting the formula right, he is now embarking on modifying MixTmotions.
This is Tom,

we are sailing two handed together in the Simrad series.

On this particular day (August 10) we sailed ZGY two handed around the buoys, as part of the winter series with the up to 26 club.

We got line honours.

This is me sailing in the Simrad 60 on Mixtmotions after rounding Navy Buoy we really took off, the wind was blowing hard (about 25 knots). We hoisted the fractional spinnaker and away we went.

The Simrad 60 shortly after the start and we are trying to catch the rest of the fleet

We had a few dramas getting the kite up, but got things under control, and then we started to move (Simrad 60).
