keel progress 24/10/08

This is where the keel is at, it has been shaped, the bulb is not yet poured or attached.

The Coastal Classic Race Start

We all went up to North Head to watch the start, ZGY appeared to be overpowered initially, but it looked like they managed to get a couple of reefs in, and after that began overtaking boats.

Coastal Classic Send Off-Go Boys

The Coastal Classic Kicked off today, the weather forcast couldnt have been more unfavourable for fair weather sailors, however I am optimistic as ZGY always excells in strong headwind conditions. The crew are Tom, Kelvin and Bill. David was sick, but it was much appreciated when he turned up with chocolate coated coffee beans and a home made pasta meal. The boys almost left without any pots to cook with but Dad saved the day with a trip back to the house.
